Dear Parents,

Over the next few weeks we will be communicating with you through various online methods: The School Website, Google Classroom and the Tapestry online learning journal. Every week we will upload both a Phonic and Maths overview which will include what your child should be learning and suggested activities for the week. Each plan is split into 3 groups - tree seed names for literacy groups, dinosaur names for maths groups. Your child should know which groups they are in, however we will send through another observation to let you know which group to look at if you or they are unsure.

We will also be adding a topic/theme page with ideas and activities for you to do at home as a family.

A suggested timetable will also be put on the school website within the next day or two. This is only for guidance and is not something that you have to follow but it can help with how to organise and structure your day.

Reception children also have access to Google Classroom through their Google account (they have their login details in their bookbags) and we will put activities, games and fun links on there for them to access and play. We would suggest that you supervise their computer time as then you will become familiar with how it works, you can ensure that your child is getting the most out of it and you can limit the amount of time it is in use.

It would be lovely to see what activities you are doing at home so please take photos and upload them to your child's Tapestry Learning Journey, adding your own observation. If you are unsure how to do this please ask.

As always if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact either of us by email.

Take care and stay well,

Mrs Crompton and Mrs Etherington

The following list provides some focus ideas for learning at home over the coming weeks. Some people prefer to have a topic in mind so that they can plan family activities accordingly. You are under no obligation to use it!
